Do you need to clean your tongue?

Yes, brushing your tongue is very much important for oral hygiene. So many people think that only brushing and flossing of mouth twice a day make a good oral hygiene but brushing your tongue also plays a major key role in oral hygiene.

Per suppose think that you didn't brush your tongue regularly then the Bacteria after taking food will accumulate on corners of tongue and between on taste buds which gradually causes trouble in your mouth.

If you notice particularly after eating some food the tongue color will change like Coffee turns it brown, red wine turns it red. The truth is, your tongue is just as much of a target for bacteria as your teeth are, even if it is not at risk for developing cavities itself.

Most of the times rinsing will also don't work because on tongue surface microorganisms will form thin biofilm like layer which is very hard to remove with mouth rinse or gargling water. Mouthwash or others will remove micro organisms on the top layer of tongue but  down on the tongue the organisms remain intact and in future it will cause bad breath and bacteria penetrate to nearest tooth and may cause cavities too. So it is necessary to remove bacteria through brushing or cleaning.

WAYS TO CLEAN YOUR TONGUE;

1.Clean your tongue every time after you brushing your teeth.

2.Use tongue scrapers which are available at nearest supermarket or any drug stores.

3.Brush side to side and back and forth and rinse mouth with water.

4.Don't over brush your tongue as it may even break your tongue skin.
